EXECUTIVE COACHING
I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) in private practice.
My extensive executive development and coaching experience spans three decades. It began in the mid-1980's when I was responsible for leadership and communication instruction at the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences, a school for mid-career U.S. Army officers. When I left the Army after 12 years of active duty, having held several command and staff positions in the US and abroad, I entered the private sector where I held the organization development executive position for divisions of three Fortune 500 companies. In each of these OD roles I served as an executive developer and coach.
In addition to my corporate experience, I built and managed an organization development consulting practice focusing on executive coaching, integration, and development. My clients have ranged from medical directors to professionals in leadership positions to division presidents. I am equally as effective with high potential front line managers as with top executives. I draw from my decades of corporate OD, operations, and military leadership experience in my executive and career coaching engagements. In addition, I have over 15 years of experience as a retained executive recruiter and have placed numerous leaders in corporations, non-profits, healthcare systems, hospitals and universities ranging from medical director to public company CEO in the US, Asia and Europe. This experience in total has been immensely valuable to my coaching clients. I have served as a member of (and have been certified by) the Lee Hecht Harrison executive coaching staff, and am a former board adviser to the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches.
I have also worked extensively with executive outplacement firms over the past two decades and advised numerous transitioning executives regarding their job search strategy and tactics. I continue to personally advise senior leaders in transition, with an emphasis on senior executives choosing to start their own professional services practices. I continue to write about these areas on my blog, Leading Edge Memo's, and through the articles I write. http://leadingedgememos.blogspot.com
